Re: Hammer's transom Rebuild
I saw the Nidabond at $115 per gallon and I got a quote from a place in Sarasota for $100 per 5 gal for the Arjay.

Re: Hammer's transom Rebuild
Arjay and Nidacore (Nidabond pourable) are both ceramic polyester compounds, as opposed to Seacast which used fiberglass. Both are about half the cost of Seacast which makes them very attractive....

Re: Hammer's transom Rebuild
Hammer,
Seacast seems to elicit negative feelings from folks. Pourable is better terminology. I will probably redo my transom on my dually this winter and I think a pourable solution is in the...

Re: no wonder I can't sell
The last one is running a single 110!!! Hell, I had twin 115's on my 75' V. That's alot of boat for a single V4 - way to much in my opinion.

Re: Holiday Weekend. Here's your pics Hammer
Lumber,
Haven't ordered the seats yet. Got two quotes $525 and $600. That includes the four backs and the two bottoms. I bought some hardwood to make the brackets for the bottoms but haven't...

Holiday Weekend. Here's your pics Hammer
Yeah, I was floating in the lake trying to keep the camera dry. My 6 y/o is looking cool in daddy's glasses driving the V. Looks like we're surfing in the second pic. Check out the last two pics....

Re: To buy or not to buy-needs transom
Willy, interesting point. I guess I've had just the opposite experience. I've had two and have been in three others through friends of mine - all with soft rears. I agree, its not the boat but how...

Re: To buy or not to buy-needs transom
That job here in Louisiana would run about $2000 - $2500 (I checked recently). I had the transom done in my old 75' in 1993 and it was $1500. If you're not going to DIY, then I'd pass if your...

Re: Transom?'s
If you're going to have the deck off to repair stringers, then wood (coosa) and glass is the way to go. I would say pourable if you didn't want to cut or remove the deck. For my 88', I would be...

Re: Transom?'s (long)
Guys,
I have to admit that I've been looking into transom repair techniques other that the traditional glass/wood layup process. I've been communicating to a few folks on the Mako board (sorry ...

Re: T-Shirt Ordering Open
Will,
No Hurry. I'm sure they're sitting at the post office somewhere - kind of like the last scene in Raiders of the Lost Ark when they wheel it into the warehouse. Just my luck. As long as I...
