My '77 V-20CC has the original 165 straight 6 MC. For now It runs great. Pushes the boat 40 WOT. Runs at 25 ( ICW limit here ) real smooth. I'll admit I don't trust it 100% and so keep a new 6hp...

Clean it up and repower with an OB....OR ;) buy my 165hp inline six motor and outdrive....and I'll repower with an OB. :D

Nice set-up. Nice lookin' folks. Bet the seat cuts down on motor noise too. I also like the fish mode w/o seat.
I'm anxious to repower my i/o to OB and build a futon style bench seat for all...

Like they sez...the pump needs water. The other flusher I use if I come back too late to disturb the neighbors. The I reflush with the ears in the morning.

I use a 6hp Johnson mainly to save on gas. 3.5 is about slow as I ever troll tho'. Usually closer to 5 for Dolphin.
