The Frances Fleet out of Point Judith, RI reported a cobia caught on one of their boats this weekend! This is the first one ever on any of their boats.....

Sean....I think I did not word it very well. We actually did net the fish and take it home....the hook popped just as he took his third scoop with the net. A second later and it would have been lost....

8-11-07 Fluke report
I took my neighbor, Tony, out for fluke yesterday. High tide was around 8 am so we headed out around 5 am and got where we wanted on the water just after 6 am. I picked the wrong spot as we started...

Still fishing in 45-55 feet or so. I think he was caught on the shallower end of the drift. Took some friends to the beach and the guy wanted to fish so we went out for a couple hours from 1:00-3:00....

Update......seas were not too bad but we did a lot of rolling around this morning. The cruise out and back was fine. I think when the forecast is bad for where you normally go, you should head down...
