Re: 248CC

Wellcraft made a 248 center console with a forward cuddy. They were great hulls. They also made them with twin or single sea drives, twins and large singles.

Re: Big problem and need advice

If you plan on insuring it, especially in Calif., you may have trouble. *The highest hp rating on an outboard V20 was 235 . *Some year boats were as low as 200 hp. *I don't know what year Yammy you...

Re: Panga Anyone?

It's like they say, "If it sounds too good to be true, it's probably too good to be true". You're probably right about the console. They (MIMSA) go from 17' to 23', not a 186 (18'6").

Re: another Skool's Project today

Guy I know has one for sale with twins. He's got a price tag of $23k on his. I think he was smoking some goofy stuff when he printed the sign. It looks the same as Skool's boat. They're a real rugged...

Re: I've ARRIVED

Did one a month ago. The preparation is worse than the procedure. The short nap (15 minutes) was the most restful sleep I've had in years. No polops. Doc said I had the colon of an 18 yr old. I just...

Re: Panga Anyone?

Do a Yahoo search on MIMSA boats and it'll come up. Click on the icon with the American flag and it'll show up in English. Rman, does that boat look like a 23'? It only has a 6' beam. Made in Merida,...

Re: Panga Anyone?

That ain't no Mako. There have been alot of Panga copies in the last few years. I'd love to have that where I fish. Too small to run charters though.

I agree on the cockpit drains, however check the stern shot and look how much of a list (transom drains) with the guy still on the starboard side. I still think the cockpit drains are much higher...

Let's see, foreign guy, Fl registration in NC, no motor, and I'm not sure if there's any steering. Rman, in your line of business, you might want to run the registration number. Very, very good price...

Re: 95 MERCURY oil injection, keep it or ditch it?

Personal preference. *I've never had problems with my two Merc 150's (86 & 2000), but I guess others have. You may want to get more info from Mercury owners and their good or bad luck.

Re: 86 V-20 fuel tank

Hey Rman, call Aluminum Marine Products in Perry Florida. They made alot of fuel tanks for Wellcraft and most of the original tanks for the V20. Tell them you're looking for the 60 gal floor tank....

Re: STAINLESS VS. ALUMINUM

On an I/O, you'll never get the entire outdrive out of the water. With my outboard and the cutting board I mounted on top of the splashwell I still have part of the lower unit in the water.

Re: STAINLESS VS. ALUMINUM

Why? *Your zinc anodes will deplete before your aluminum. *I'm in a wet slip with stainless steel with no problems. *Any aluminum in the water is painted with outdrive paint (not bottom paint). *If...
