Re: looking at v20 cc anything i should look out f

I would make sure that there is no play in the transom. If the boat has been kept in the water there is the chance that water may have worked it's way into the wood . I am sure that you would also...

Re: New Floor Tank Covers

It looks great. I had the teak hatches on my 1974 . They looked great when clean and a good coat of oil . They would always swell a little and it made them hard to lift . Will that new board need...

Re: Going to check out a '93 tomorrow

I paid about the same for my 1994 , three years ago . And if I were going to sell it I would not take less than that today . It too was very clean and very low hours . My motor has never missed a...

Cbuz , I too also instaled the NFB system and love it . Again , on my 1994 I also had to lift the motor due to lack of room .

Re: new wellcraft boats

Reelapeelin , you hit the nail in the head . I don't even care for the way the Euro's look , not to mention all the wasted space . I will stick with my V 20 until I win the lottery and step up to a...

Re: 72, 77, 78, 81 Catalogs in the gallery

*Good find ! I noticed that the center console with the new liner and in-hull tank make its debut in 1977 . The steplift does not change until 1978 . I also noticed that they took out the forward...

Re: 1st YEAR FLOOR TANKS?

They added the liner at the same time . That allowed them to raise the deck for flotation and below deck fuel tank . I think the tank size has been at 60 gal. ever since. It would have been nice if...

Re: V20 Fish W / Twin 150's !!

That sounds like a good idea . I know a couple of people with them . I had not seen the twin 150 boat before . I bet it will run in the mid 60's.

Re: 1st YEAR FLOOR TANKS?

They went to an in deck mounted tank mid 1977 . That was the year that they raised the sides a couple of inches. That gave them more room below the deck .

Re: Floor Hatch Handle

If they are the same as my old 1974 , you might try putting a small rubber washer on the bolt . That should give it enough offset to grab the nob .

Re: Wellcraft Centric Web Sites?

Bob , I do not think Wellcraft has any type of owners club . You would think that they would as long as they have been building boats .

Re: Fuel Tank Problems

It sounds like your tank may not be venting. Try opening your gas cap a little to allow air in the tank . If that works your overflow may have a clog in it .

Re: new pictures added to gallery

Ken , That 's great !What size tank is going below deck ? Do you plan on painting the boat ? That is a true classic . All you need now is a pair of twin 50's on the stern .
