Ray,... Rather than either I went ahead an bought a kicker. I've used it quite a few times. Even with a new main motor I'm gonna keep the kicker on board.

New motor

The 165 inline 6. Took it out for an extended break-in ride. Started right up. I took it easy and varied the rpms for about an hour then, headed out to sea. Rode around for awhile and trolled back...
