When you drill into the aluminum casing you know when you get all the way through, - when you hit the swivel shaft, as it will get harder to drill, that's when you stop.

1987 Wellcraft V20 Tank replacement

Just had to do the same thing on my 1987 Wellcraft V20. Cut the original 60 gallon out and replace with 40 gallon poly.
