I'd rather not have a cooler taking up deck space. Some of the fishing we do can get quite "Chinese firedrillish" and coolers can get in the way. Its an I/O and the engine cover is already an issue....

One advantage of doing that would be the holders draining into the cockpit instead of under the gunnels. Were you able to angle them out at all by doing that?

Yeah I was thinking that might be the way to go (0 degree) but I have a bunch of new 30 degree stainless holders so will use them. Going to put one in the middle of the transom, one on each side...

Thanks for the response. I'm pretty sure its a 6 instead of a four though. Could be wrong (just did a quick run through the boat when my son brought it by) but I'm pretty sure its bigger than a 4...
