Anyone, have any idea how much it should cost me to change out the old straight 6 to a 4.3 v-6 mercruiser along with a new outdrive? I am guessing around $6,500 Does this sound about right?

I am all ears. The one i have now may be able to be rebuilt however I am not sure if I need to change it completely because I am changing the motor from a straight 6 to a V-6.
