I put them on my 79 V20. Best improvement I ever made to a boat. Every boat I will ever have will have them on it.
Unless you plan on backing up at full throttle they will never have a problem....

I put a set of smart tabs on my 79 V20. Best thing I ever did to the boat. Bow stayed down, no loss of speed and they made it very stable even while sitting still. No problems backing up or anything....

It was a long beep. It came on and stayed on. Even whenI shut it down for 30 min. or more like the manual said, iy came on and stayed on.

Update. I installed 2 new thermostats. The old ones looked like they were barely working. Ran her for about 30 min (turning it off and on). Heard no alarm or abnormal sounds and I could get full rpm....
