We use Menhaden or "bunker" either live ( very good bait ) or chunked for stripers. I also "tube and worm" for them quite a bit. The tube is an unbelievable way to catch the stripers very easily. I...

I wrap the line around itself five or six times, through the loop and then back through the second loop. Apply saliva and cinch down. Never had a power pro or stren braid slip yet. Good luck .
