Thanks Csvencer and Spareparts for your help. Yes, it does pivot and the cable end (throttle) came off with loosening the center bolt and then rotating the cable holder out of the way. Is the shift...

Removal of throttle and shift cables for Merc.

I have a 1985 Merc 75 hp. (4 cyl.) and having a difficult time in removal of the throttle and shift cables. Attached are two pictures. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance,
