I agree that twins are not in the wheelhouse for...

I agree that twins are not in the wheelhouse for thus hull.

That said. If I had to do transom work and wanted twins I'd have to close the entire transom and add a stainless bracket on the rear....

To me it looks like a REALLY early Dusky. Made out of florida. Even has the dusky logo on the side.... I'm guessing the Hull ID is either from import, or from a rebuild/recover...

As most have seen here I have an 85 180 Fisherman. The 85 model had the self bailing deck, so the 89 cutoff is incorrect.

My 140 Zuke 4 stroke is slow, I couldn't imagine 96Hp anywhere near...

Decarbing is a great way to keep your 2 stroke at its best performance. The Mercury Power Tune is awesome stuff, but the Johnson/Evinrude stuff is just as good it seems like.

Great little motors, electrical system can be a pain in the ***.. The trim setup sounds about right for that era, should have 2 rams, one on either side of the motor if i remember correctly.
