PB Fluke 8/5/07
Not quite a doormat I but a pretty nice fluke and my new personal best in my first season fishing fluke. *24 inches and 6 lbs. *Caught off Misquamicut Beach in RI this afternoon on a green and white 3 oz Spro jig with a strip of fluke belly. *I makes up for the $20 worth of jigs and rigs I lost to the bottom and bluefish. *I snagged bottom 3 times on who knows what since it was seemingly all sandy bottom. Seems I need more sunscreen on my nose next time!

Re: PB Fluke 8/5/07
Still fishing in 45-55 feet or so. I think he was caught on the shallower end of the drift. Took some friends to the beach and the guy wanted to fish so we went out for a couple hours from 1:00-3:00. This was the only keeper although I lost what felt like a nice fish halfway to the boat when he gave a good shake and tossed the hook.
