Resizing pictures for posting

Where do you resize pictures for posting?
Seems like there was an initial setting in order to post full size photo's without having to scroll left to right but I can't remember if it was in Photobucket, on my computer or this sites settings.
Also what was the size preferred?
Obviously I have done it but can't remember where I did it at.

Was trying to help another member

OK, found it in Photobucket.
Just below "images from my pc" near the "Browse" and "Upload" there is the "max image size option" to click.
The setting I'm using is 800 x 600, which is the 15" screen.

There is a resizer available from Microsoft.
It attaches directly to your file manager and you can resize
pix with a rigth mouse click.

The file is called:

ImageResizer.exe

Here is a link to get it:

I use what parishht uses, it is real easy and if you highlight a bunch of pic's all at once it will resize them all in one shot!

800 X 600 is perfect for online viewing!
