One more reason to not trust a VRO
Found this one on another site, the VRO fuel pump quit pumping so the owner kept pumping the primer bulb to keep fuel to it to get home. Well when you pump the primer bulb you get gas ONLY, no oil. And then this can eventually happen.

looks like a nice melted 60 degree there. i think the moral of the story here is just because it work doesnt mean you should do it. (pumping the bulb)

Found another VRO victim picture to strike fear. Looks like it did some damage too, same cylinder as the other one.
