Omc Prop - Need Help

OMC gods....HELP!

After spinning the hub on the Mckee craft, we are in need of another prop. I found a few on fleabay, but have a question. The prop that spun the hub is a 13 spline 11 3/4 x 17 OMC part number #386841. I found one exactly like it online, but I'm conerned it is old and it looks like someone painted it. I also found one that is a 13 spline 11 3/4 x 17 and is brand new but it is OMC part number #176422.

So, why the 2 different part numbers for what would appear to be the same prop? Are they really different? Do I have to have #386841 or will #176422 work interchangeably with my shaft? Motor is a 1988 40hp evinrude 20 inch shaft.

Thanks,
Blue

Is there a possibility one is cupped and the other not?

OOOO, that is a mess

Anyway the 176422 is cupped and the 386841 is not.
I'll try to find the site again and stick the link in.
Here we go:

Buy It Now!!

Dive on the e-bay prop, like the cupped ones better.
Price is great!!

THEFERMANATOR 06-24-2008 02:47 PM

I would snatch that EBAY prop up as well. Haveing your current prop re-hubbed will cost you almost as much, but I've aluminum props split after hub replacements.

Blue_Runner 06-24-2008 02:58 PM

Ok thanks!! I believe I will DIVE in on that. You guys rock.

Peace,
Blue
