Fold down bolster jump seats

I am interested in these seats I found on ebay for either side of my I/O cover on my 1991 V20 cuddy, and wonder what you gents think of them. The seats pictured are too wide, as there is only approximately 14" of space between the engine cowling and the gunwales. The seller quoted me $350 plus shipping for a pair that are 14" wide and either 14" or 16" deep. he would use white starboard on the ones he would make for me rather than the sand color. I am not crazy about the fact that the brackets are made of galvanized metal which will, eventually, rust. Let me know what you think. Thanks.

Looks like a great idea for i/o owners. Like you, I would be skeptical about the galvanized brakets for that price.

Thanks, Broc. I really like the concept. You think the galvanized material would hold up given that my boat sits on a trailer and sees 99% freshwater use?

Come on guys, anyone other than JJBroc have an opinion on how these would look in my V?

No offense, but I paid less money for a pair of new Todd 1000 helm seats with slides and bases. Can you screw a 1x2 strip of starboard to each gunwhale? If so, do the same on each side of the motor cover and have a drop in cushion made for each side. Just remove the cushions and they're out of your way when you need to lift the motor cover. You could even cut starboard or plywood bases and velcro a boat throw cushion to them. You might want to consider two removable small storage boxes with cushion tops. Just my .02

I agree 100% I would never pay $250 for that!!

Some good ideas Seacrets. Easy enough too.

I was gonna say, there's about $25 worth of stuff there. You can make them yourself and spend the rest on half a tank of gas.

I just re read the ad, thats $250 for one!!!!! That guy is nuts!

He did give me a "break" in his quote of $350 for 2. Thanks for the advice guys. I really like the idea of just doing the seats sitting on starboard supports.
