Striper Contest
Anyone in the New England area entering this contest in New London?
www.downtownnewlondon.com A few friends and I are entering it. Any ideas on where we could grab some good size ones? We were thinking of heading towards Montauk but water may be to cold? We are going to be using wire. Ideas......... |
Oops
Should of put this in the fishing section, duh!
I imagine there will be many, many boats out at The Race.....
Here is more info......it'll cost you $500 to enter. It is a slot limit tournament so you weigh 2 fish in the 28-34 inch range.
I Didn't read the rules, but seeing you live in RI, thats were I would fish... RI is filled to the brim with fat fish with in that slot. Need some specifics, PM me and I would be happy to help:hi:
Ah man, I thought it was a stripper contest.
RM you dont look like stink in them there thongs ...... stinker would win hands down:you:
the race, plum gut, or block island is where I'd be fishin.....between work, communions, graduations and other assorted family obligations, I'm embarrassed to say my boat has yet to leave the driveway......looser..... I'll also be missing out in the Bayshore Mako tourney on the 28th.....double looser.....

Sorry, I meant to post this link.
http://striperseries.flwoutdoors.com....cfm?id=148631 You have to keep the fish alive in Striper Tubes or FLW Outdoors KeepAlive boxes. You can rent or buy them. Problem with fishing in Naragansett Bay is that it is a good 40-50 mile haul by water from NL. The good news is there is a Wellcraft bonus on prizes (as well as Hydra-Sports, Scarab, Seaswirl, Triumph,, Evinrude and Yamaha). |
We will be on my buddies hydra sport. Lucky for me he is all geared up to the brim.
