What do ya say you swing by FLORIDA and drop that one off with me? I'll even buy ya a :beer: or 2. And that is a looper MJ. All of the 200's and 225's from 86+ were loopers. 93+ had the finger ports in them which boost the upper RPM power, but OMC put smaller exhaust passages in them to help down low. The 88-92 is a good all round engine, and 86-87 can really make some power if you want to build em up and are said to be the best for economy(they are also the smallest displacement at 2.7L, 88-92 were 3L and 93+ could be a 3L or 3.3L depending upon the model).

MJ - I just bought it . . . a few weeks ago. Too good a deal to pass up. It needed a starter and some other little misc parts . . . I yanked them off the 1995 200 and parted out that motor. This 225 is one nice motor . . . I'm tempted to put it on the red seafari, but I can't keep everything, so this has to go before May 17th. I'm going to list it on ebay . . . just thought I'd try to advertise it on a few boards first. If you want it . . . I know CB would do a great job rigging it for you :) I'll split shipping if you want it . . . I just can't fit it in my luggage, b/c I bought another seafari with a volvo aq130c and 270 drive with perfect compression 150psi in all 4 last week.

I just put a 91 225 Evinrude on the back of my V20 dually with the Gil bracket. That baby is going to FLY!!! She'll be up for sale soon, Lord willing.
