I have an 81 Bonita at my dad's house that I gutted and rebuilt from the floor up.....awsome inshore fishing platform. I think it's time to price shop for a 40 or 50 hp outboard. It had a POS 60 hp evenrude that made it fly(when it would run) and I figure a 40 or 50 would do the trick. I bought it at a junk yard in Atlanta for $400 boat/motor/trailer. I put about $900 more in it with outboard repair, fiberglass, paint and new stearing. Does anybody know what the Suzuki 4 strokes cost?

50 etec would out perform the ZUKI everyday of the week. i just sold the same boat with both set ups and the etec makes the zuki seem like a briggs and stratton.

PRICE? Do they make a 40 etec?
