for all of us who fish sandy hook area
went out sunday and the blues are here and caught a 23 inch fluke on a fast retrieve jig going for blue fish no flounder and no strippers but the blue fish were in the 1 to 2 pd range and caught 2 at about 10 pds those blues where all lite up beutiful fish very clean and taste great until they get chum into them im going for them again very very soon oh and for the fluke the seasons closed now and i thru her back right |
very nice! I should be making my way out there soon once i finish getting the boat ready. Around where were you fishing for the blues? i never really went blue fishing over there and i was wondering if its near the ammo pier or around the hook and where? Also what is the best way to fish for blues along withbait and all that im not a big blue guy but would like to get into it?

there are in the bay before you get to the ti[ of the hooh going out to the hook there on the right side by the cg station and pound nets in shallow water thats if you leave out of alt, highlands marina i was useing a 117 or 007 plain jig cast and retrieve fast to slow reg retieve we got the big ones on top water plugs i dont think yhe plug makes a diferance aslong as it on top |
