Epoxy Question

I had to enlarge the gas tank opening in the deck. I now have to seal the exposed edges of the deck. My plan is to router out about an 1/8th inch of the core leaving the fiberglass skin intact, then seal the channeled edge with thickened epoxy. I plan on using West System just not sure what filler to use?

Would something like Marine Tex do what you want it to do?
Painting with resin (might as well put a string of cloth in it to) and finishing off with Marine Tex seems the easiest way.
Hows about pictures?

Mulv, your on the right track. Cabosil or wood flour, either will work for what your gonna do.

Resin, will be fine, then seal the floor with 4200, its better the 5200 IMO as it stays flexible, just holds up better all around.
5200 is good for something below the water or above that you never mever plan to remove again!
