Bow Pulpit

Hi
I wanted to build a bow pulpit for my center console V20. Can you guys tell me what you have?
I am going to build it in my woodshop class at my highschool and then i am going to bolt it on to the front of the boat. I really dont know what size to make it so any suggestions would be great! thanks in advance !

I, hammer, Airslot all have one made of Starboard, There are a few others that have them made of teak and other wood.

There are a bunch of threads talking aboutit, showing pic of them, and measurments.

Just use the SEARCH in the blue bar above and start reading!!

Maco's right. There are some very nice set ups on the boats here. Do your search through the threads, and check out the galleries. There is a ton of info in them-thar-hills

Good to see a younger generation of V20 blood around here. Good luck with your project and keep us posted.

drj,
I made a bow pulpit this winter out of African mahogany. I'll get the dimensions for ya when I get home tonight. I used the pictures of the starboard bow pulpits that others guys here have made as a guide. Afterwards I soaked it for three weeks in a tub of waterproofing deck treatment. Haven't had a chance to use it yet so I can't give any feedback on performance.

TH, you can mail that thing to me and I'll test it for you. Shouldn't take but a few decades to get back to you with a report.
