Re: New E-Tec's

they are only warrantied if installed and set up by an E-TEC (different from a standard Bomb dealer)dealer, had some one around here that was selling loose E-TEC's Bomb found out and put an end to it. The people that bought those engines can't get a dealer to work on them

Re: New E-Tec's

Ed's marine ticked so many dealers off, that they can't sell a loose engine if they don't hang it on the transom

Re: New E-Tec's

The Yamaha dealer here told me I could install myself, then take it up there and they'd check it out, charge me $100 bucks and sign off on the warranty. *Same dealer also wanted $600 to install for me - so I went to another dealer and they installed it turnkey for $150. *;) *:P

spareparts you sure about that? I realize ed's has a bad rep, but a fishing buddy bought a 140 Suzuki 4stroke in box, out the door for 8K ....I can't find how you can beat that, heck people want almost that for used motors.

had a freind cal up therer recently, that the story they gave him, bring it here and we'll bolt it on. Maybee thats what they tell people over teh phone, but when the cash gets there, the story changes? Got a guy here local that will sell and install a 140 Zuk, gauges, wiring, steering, and prop it out for $9800
