Brand New V-20
I know there has been posts in the past about the similarity's between this boat and our V-20's, and I remember SKOOLZ E-mailed WELLCRAFT and they told him they never sold the V-20 molds. But it shore looks like a modernized V-20 to me.

i'll have to agree with you. it does look similar.http://www.dusky.com/images/main_boat_pics/dus203xf.jpg

Just because Wellcraft never sold the V20 molds doesn't mean that the original designer (not Wellcraft) didn't sell the design to other companies.

Guys look back at history, you don't have to buy a mold to copy a design.
You could just buy a hull and make a mold from it. But I think if you put these 2 hulls side by side you'd see a difference, at least a slight one. |
I think BR's right. I'm guessing the 203 refers to the boat being 20 feet 3 inches? This might sound silly, but I can see the 3 inch difference; the extra 3 inches on the V20 makes a difference in the overall look of the boat. That said, it could just be me...

i think she is missing some Flare??? not as much as a V:head:

Make one in a cuddy and tell me where to send the check.

The only difference I can see from this one and my V sitting outside, is the V-20 has an ever so slightly longer bow. The DUSKY's comes up almost flatly just before the cap, and the V-20's has a slight roll forward. Both of these hulls even have the convex sides at the stern.
http://www.dusky.com/boats/dus203a.html They even call there's a step V hull, not a bad price for a NEW package either. |
I always liked those dusky's. I guy down the road has 28+/- footer with a ton of flair. I'd run one.

Nice boat. I like that Dusky FAC (fish around cruiser).
