Check this out..
I can honestly say I've never seen one of these before :o Wonder what the story is behind this? Also the price seems cheap to me.

Re: Check this out..
One of the marine mechanics schools in ST PETERSBURG just got rid of all it's old school engines, so there's been quite a few engines similiar to this one for sale in FLORIDA. There was 3 like this one for sale in TAMPA 2 weeks ago.

Re: Check this out..
if its a school motor, you can bet the treads on every nut and bolt are wore out

Re: Check this out..
Man, it sure looks good though. I bought a 25 hp Evinrude a couple a years ago still in the box. It was a 85 model still bolted to the crate with the tank, books and all , elec start and long shaft for 400 bucks. My elderly neighbor bought it to go on a boat somebody else was buying. The other guy backed out on the boat so he was stuck with it . I mounted it on my 16ft carolina, runs great.

Re: Check this out..
My buddy's Dad had one of them on a 16 ft runabout when we were kids, he would drag us around the lakes of Western NC on waterskis.
I think you should buy it BR! |
Re: Check this out..
Nah, too much hp for me. I love my 150 on my V, but on my 2nd boat I want 25 - 50 hp so that I can fish cheap cheap cheap! I just thought it was strange to see a brand new old motor like that?

Re: Check this out..
I once had that same motor, v-4 85hp....in a word, bulletproof. I loved it. Put alot of time on it and didn't have an ounce of trouble.
