Best Fishing Towns in America

I have been to 6 of them, but admittedly haven't dropped a line in all 6, and live a few miles from one (Beaufort, SC).

Traverse City is near one of my favorite towns on Earth, Elk Rapids, and I fished there since I was a guppy.

Ely ("eelee") is another of my favorite towns, and if you can take the cold and like to feel you're in the wilderness, it's tough to beat. Darn good fishing there, too. (Love those walleyes!) Bought a few acres there a while back.

not on the list but a damn nice place to fish.

Southern end Lake George and St. Johns River Astor FL
 

Usually go there between mothers day and fathers day for a week.

There is no way you can leave off Santee SC.
Spent many an off season week there.
