Weekend hunting report....
I got a late start due to the weather and only hunted the PM on saturday. I seen 5 does and one unidentified buck that got past me before I could get a look at him. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v7...milies/bgh.gif
Sunday AM I started at dark 30. It was 19ish when I woke up and headed over to the property. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v7...s/icon_eek.gif I got out of the truck and thought DANG its cold. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v7...s/icon_eek.gif I suited up and headed to my stand. I got to my climber and started to unlock my cable around it only to find the keyhole full of ICE. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v7...s/icon_eek.gif I fooled with it for about five minutes and FINALLY got her open. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v7...n_rolleyes.gif I was just short of peeing on the dern thing when it finally unlocked. I mean dang weather peoples this is BAMA, not Canada!! http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v7...s/icon_lol.gif Anyways...I sat until a little before 7 when I looked up and seen horns coming my way. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v7...s/icon_eek.gif While he was working a scrape I got the binoculars up to inspect and see what he looked like. He was about 60 yards away and although he was gorgeous, he wasnt quite was I was looking for. He eased off and then I remembered I had my camera. One tip of the ol Primos can and he was headed back. I readied the camera and snapped a few. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v7.../icon_cool.gif I sent him on his way with instructions to let his daddy know I wanted to talk to him. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v7.../icon_cool.gif He is a nice 2.5ish year old deer. I'll have a date with him again in a year or two.http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v7...lies/peace.gif http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v7...g/newtt016.jpg I sat until 10ish with only another doe sighted that looked like she was nervous and being followed. Nothing ever surfaced after 30 minutes or so so and decided I should pack it in and head south. It was at this point that I stood up and remembered due to the heavy previous rains and the temps this morning that my foam seat was a solid block of ice. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v7...s/icon_eek.gif I remembered because a little while earlier "the monster" had bit me (this means I needed to go number 2 http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v7...s/icon_lol.gif) but the urge had settled due to my entire bum being NUMB. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v7...s/icon_eek.gif This usually doesnt happen to me. When I need to go....I GOT to go! http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v7...s/icon_lol.gif Still yet, the question remained.....Had I actually pooed myself? http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v7...s/icon_eek.gif Did it just settle down? http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v7...es/scratch.gif I would only know when I got back to the truck and undressed. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v7...s/icon_eek.gif Good luck shined on me once again and all was clean after undressing and thawing my rear. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v7...icon_super.gif Im off from work for the last four days of season next week and will be camping out and on a MISSION. Maybe I can hunt hard and long enough to bag daddy rabbit! We shall see. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v7.../icon_cool.gif Either way it was a great weekend...Thank you LORD! http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v7.../icon_cool.gif |

Had that been me I would have shot and probably missed. At our deer camp we use boat cushions to comfort our butts. We leave the cushions at our spots but in pastic bags. U Da Man Stink! Billy Mac
