Ive got great news......
I just saved a bunch of money on my car insurance by switching......J/K ;D
I have a buddy who was restoring an old center console and he is having to move to Atlanta due to his job. I hate to see him go, but his move is my gain!! He gave me all of the stuff he had bought and saved up for his restoration. I have about three watertight hatches, a box FULL of new stainless bolts and screws, other misc. items, and best of all....a BRAND NEW 45gallon plastic fuel tank!! I was wanting to upgrade to maybe a 60 gallon plastic, but for free...dern!!! CANT BEAT THAT! I also got a the paint he was going to do his in. It is mint green. I was thinking a while back about either the mint green or blue ice before I finally decided on the blue. After he ordered this green and I seen it I was honestly thinking of doing mine in it as well. Now that I got it for free, I just may do it. Tell me what yall think of the color. My wife loves it and I do as well....Im not completely sure yet as I am not going to let one gallon of free paint make the decision for me. PS I think both tanks will fit back in her for a whopping 91 gallons!!! What about that?? I know it will change the center of gravity, but I figure the full transom and brackett will offset that...plus you dont have to fill the front one up all the way anyways...right? 8) mint green: http://www.forumpictureprocessor.com...es/green_1.jpg OPINIONS PLEASE!!! ;D |

Re: Ive got great news......
So how bout the color, and 90 gallons of fuel? ::)
|
Re: Ive got great news......
color is good. its only up to you on if you like it and can live with the color.
Go for it. 90 gals of fuel is alot, but there if you need the extra gallons for the off shore run or wherever you may be. And if you have the room for the 90 gal. tank, use it up. |
Re: Ive got great news......
Youz guys step in dog poop? I never get anything free!!!!!!!!! :'(

Re: Ive got great news......
Stinky, I'm probably not the one to ask about color cause I'm an old-phart-fuddy-duddy and won't put any color on my boat other than the original Wellcraft factory color....I think the green is gonna look good, and if it works for you, then do it... ;) ;D...
The second tank...not clear where it's goin...are you sure it's gonna fit where you're talkin' about?... :)...but basicly if you can safely add more fuel capacity to a boat, I'd DO IT!! ;D...when you get it installed, fill 'em to the brim and see how she floats...adjust down from there if you need to... Keep us posted on the progress!!... ;D... |
Re: Ive got great news......
I dont know about the green. My wife picked out the yellow so I toned it down she never knew the difference. :-XSee if the paint store can lighten it for you. The hull pics looked sweet by the way.

Re: Ive got great news......
There's a boat about that color down at Toller's Cove in Charleston...really looks great... 8)...if you're goin' w/ any other color than stock Wellcraft White, I wouldn't run from the Mint Green... ;D...

Re: Ive got great news......
On another note, my baby is still in the yard on the ground because I havent gotten the rollers yet to put it back on. Now we have this crap to deal with
http://www.forumpictureprocessor.com...ges/NHC7-7.jpg I dont know what to do!! I cant afford the rollers right now and I am scared the storm might blow the hull around and damage it. I was thinking of anchoring it to the ground via the bow and trasom u bolts, but I dont know what to put in the ground to secure a v20 in 130 MPH winds. >:( It is predicted to be a strong cat3 by the time it gets here. :o What to do here...Im freakin out...Ive got alot of time and $$ in this thang. |
