bellhousing noises
 
i have a 305 chevy in place and when i have it running and try to turn the outdrive i hear a noise coming from the bellhousing and it doesnt sound good

possibly pressure plate?

bellhousing bearing?

I/O'S DO NOT HAVE A PRESSURE PLATE - HAS THE MOTOR BEEN OUT OF THE BOAT - THERE IS A HUB CONNECTED TO THE FLYWHEEL - OR IT COULD BE A MOTOR ALIGNMENT PROBLEM

it may be your gimble berring,there is a greese fitting on the out side of your boat on the rite side at about 4;00 that may need alittle grease or need to be replaced,
