Has anyone tried separating a V20 Cuddy?

I bought a 1979 V20 as a project boat. The floors are solid as a rock, however when I inspected one of the floor hatches I found that the stringer at least on the driver side front is turned to mush. I think the boat was stored with the bow tilted down. It looks as though the floor is a molded liner. Is it possible to separate the top from the hull to gain access to the stringers?

Mulv, some of the other guys might chime in here, but seems to me you could cut access from the top of the stringer, dig out all the rotted wood (let it DRY-OUT), then pour it back w/ the stuff they pour into transoms...I agree w/ step...gotta be an easier way...you'd have to seperate AND REMOVE cap, THEN the liner B4 gettin' to da stringer... ;)...
