Willy personally i don't like a full auto. The seperate float switch is how i go incase the switch dies while out on the water i can make the pump still run. My neighbor that works for Parker says when you think the bilge pump is big enough buy one twice as big. I personally ran two 1750 GPH pumps in the rear of my 21 and one 1500 in the front under the floor incase the tube were to get stopped up. in a case of emergency you can never have enough water removal. JMO

My bilge pump works fine but the switch has gone bad, I'm going to replace the float switch and install a second bilge pump. I'm looking at the Rule 1100 Auto. Uses no float switch but has some kind of internal chip sensor, anyone with experience with these.
Also I'm buying a on-board charger for Old School, got a gift certificate from Cabelas from the kids, They have their in store brand which looks pretty nice and they have the Guest brand, (more expensive) anyone have any experience with these?

Skools by make the pump run you mean by manualy lifting the float switch or do you mean something else, also I was going to use the auto as a secondary pump

i use a 3 way switch with led on the panel i make so up posit. is ON and is a spring loaded switch to pop back to off, middle posit. OFF, down posit. AUTO, the LED is in the set to light when the pump is running either be ON or AUTO and i use the seperate float switch between my two rear pumps and one beside the front pump.

What do you need a dam bildge pump for???

If you getting that much water jump over board!!

I have a pump in my bait tank and thats it!!

When CB is with me I hand him the manual bike type pump, and tell him if he feels the need start pumping, I will be in the water swiming when he gets tired!!
