Controls: Update...
 
I got my controls back together and made an improvement in the process. The mounting screw holes were stripped out and cracked after 25 years:

so I decided to add a mounting plate so that I could use new holes. I found a scrap of stainless at work (one of the benifits of working for a winery!) and had a coworker help me cut out a hole for the guts of the controls with a plasma cutter (another perk). Here is a shot from the back:

I'm guessing West coast. In your second pic above I think I see the base of a palm tree.

Great detective work Tin Man! We don't have many palm trees up here in northern california, but there are a few. The winery is in the Napa Valley. I live about an hour from there.
