Steering Cable length
 

Boat is 230 miles away so I can't measure. Got an 86 steplift and need to know the steering cable length so I can purchase an NFB system. All help is appreciated.

Assumin' '86 same length as '74, I'll measure and post it for ya here in just a little while...

Seacrets, measuring mine, I'm gettin' 1 1/2' center of helm to center of gunwale, then 13' from dash to transom, then 3'4" from center of gunwale to center of motor...adding all, then rounding UP to nearest foot gives length of 18'...

If there's anybody where your V20's being stored who can confirm for YOUR boat, it'd be better...

Don't know which system you're plannin', but I installed NFB 4.2 Rotary 3 years ago and still happy with it ;D...yours IS a cuddy, not CC, right?...thought you were in Gallery, but couldn't find...

That sounds about right. My boat isn't here but I belive thats what I had before the conversion. I am now 20'

;) yea the bracket added all of 2 feet to it.

I just repowered to a 200 Yamaha and needed 19 feet of cable. I have a 20" transom plus a jack plate.
