engine stands
 
i just bought project motor for the winter( 87' 85hp Force) at a yard sale...but i need to build a engine stand for it.... i have 9 pieces of 2 x 6 boards, 6ft long each....i need some ideas on what/how to build it...if you have any pictures of your stands please post them.... thanks

Kajun, here you go... *Since the photos taken of my stand, I've included diagonal cross beams on each side. *MJ also built a nice one worth following: Correction: RAP was who I meant... Sorry RAP...

reel..thanks....how long are the 2 x 6's and how tall is the 2 verticle boards?..width?

I never built one ??? I have a 2 X 12 bolted on my deck thats were mine hang.


I hate to say it, but the wood will be worth more then the Force!! :o

uh huh you did lol...you can get 1k for a running force on ebay though :)

Kajun, my motor-stand is 39" from top to the ground including the casters...keep in mind it was made for a short-shaft (20") motor... :) ...
