Mercury 9.8 finally fixed
Here's my daily afternoon project from today Mercs gotta love them how they break all the time to help us pay bills lol. This is a 1969 Mercury 9.8 HP that i rebuilt last spring for a guy and he took it out the motor runs great then he hit a stump and the swivel bracket broke into, I took it apart and welded the aluminum midsection back up see last 2 pics man i hope it holds.

Re: Mercury 9.8 finally fixed
Never seen a kicker motor mounted to a trailer. You sure you got enough ponies there to push the boat and Trailer. LOl ;D ;D ;D ;D

Re: Mercury 9.8 finally fixed
You ground the crown off the weld? That is where the strength is.

i know that is where the strength is , it was required to clear on the tilt area and the swivel to turn. |

That may be a good idea for us HAMMER. You know how strong the tidal flows can be in the canal and the Broadkill. He77, if we can't keep the V's straight, maybe we can adjust the trailer with a kicker up front??? ;D :D ;D :-/ |
