Trailer Fenders

My fenders on my trailer were looking really crappy so I put on a nice new set of shiney ones.

The new ones were $54 each at Tractor Suppy Co., plus 12 bucks for new SS bolts, nuts, washers.

It looks a lot better now, and I am not afraid that the fender will colapse on me when I am stepping in or out of the boat.

Randleman,

That looks really nice! I think I'll be following your lead before long. I was just looking at mine yesterday and wondering what to do. Now I know.

Thanks for the pics and the idea...

Hey, do you have any other pics? I'm curious to see the other side of the fender to see how you mounted them...

Re: Trailer Fenders

Mine took two bolts in the front and two in the back of each fender, they mount to the "steps" in front and back of the fender. *Look at the right side of the new fender pic, look inside the fender behind the tire, you can see the bolts.

The fenders were 68" long and the hole for them was 64" so I just bent them a little more and they squeezed right in. *They come without any holes so you can drill em wherever you need to for your application.

Is that the type you had before, or did you have 2 round one and modify them to have the one big one??

My trailer is only 3 years old so I no need for a long time! And I might go plastic?

Looks good! and I think thats a good price on the fenders, they are pretty big!

I was very supprised when I asked and they told me $54. I have seen the same ones in boat catalogs for $120 each. I bought them before they changed their mind, but it is in the computer that way so thats the price.

I was thinking plastic as well but these are aluminuminum so they should last.
