who's got the most documented transom repair......

on this site? I have seen many on other sites like Classicmako.com and Classicseacraft.com, but want to see one on a V20. Mine isn't in need of a repair but I just want to see the procedure on one of our boats.

Thanks, Maury

Look in the gallery, pics worth thousands of words (right Hammer?) and I think there are a few transom repairs in there using various methods. Some like to cut the outer skin, some like to take out the inner skin. Reasons and preferrences vary. There have also been quite a few previous threads about the topic. Do a search on "transom" and you should see those threads.

Jeff,

Gallery is nice but I'm looking for words to go along with the pics. I did a search but didn't find as detailed a DIY as I have found on some of the other boards.

flounder for what it's worth (ain't much) look in "General" and find "Specs", there is a poor description and pictures. It's only good for reference.

Flounder, in my opinion, the best transom rebuilds on the web have been at classic mako and seacraft. We are a younger site and nodoy has really stepped up and done a huge documentary of it. Plenty have been done but pics were an afterthought.
