Fuel Vent Problems
Has anybody had this problem. When I fill the tanks in my 76 V, (2 side 18 gal) and trailer it after filling sometimes when I come to a stop I get fuel blowing out of the 2 side vents. Maybe the easy answer is just not to fill the tanks as much or there is a problem with the vents. Any Ideas?

Re: Fuel Vent Problems
I used to have an older v and it did the same. I've heard of others - MJ and I think RAP - that relocated the vent to above the rubrail and I think that helped out alot. I know it helps keep water out too.

Re: Fuel Vent Problems
They all did it, was a stupid design!!
Cut the hose, and leave old vents in place to keep from having to fill the hole! Get some 90% Stainless vents and move to this location and worry no more!! http://syncboard.com/albums/Boat-Tac..._041_Small.jpg |
