Is a 1982 V20 cuddy with a Yam 4 stroke 115 ok
I had a 1987 v20 with a 200 that was very fast. I'm looking at a 1982 with a 115. Seems underpowered to me. Anyone have recommendations for me ? Skip it ?
Thanks !! |

That's very close.
In the mid "70's a 115 would have been barely passable, a 140 was preferred. The newer engine might have a little more hp but it weighs more. My opinion it might do 25-30 mph. And, WELCOME TO THE SITE. |

Remember the 4 strokes turn 1000 more rpms. |

100 miles is close for a good deal. Take some cash and sea trial it. I think the motor is about small as you'd wanna go but, Yamahas are great. Check it out.

Its borderline and you'd definitely have to have the right prop for whatever you plan to use it for. I would NOT buy it without sea trial unless they gave such a good deal you couldn't turn it down. ;)
Twin 115's on a bracket would be the ticket 8) ;D |
