Stupid hurricanes!!!!!
 

Stupid hurricane messed up my plans to go offshore tonight. Canes suck, they always hit on the weekend too. Im so sick of the weathermen too...they have NO idea where canes ever go either...they just guess. I have employed my own method for tracking. Fear not! My crack squad of highly meteorogically trained monkeys are busy at work throwing darts at a tracking chart. We currently have narrowed landfall down from somewhere between Little Rock, AK and a rural, unpopulated area in the mountains of North Carolina? Bad monkey! BAD!...

I just received my insurance renewal from Boat U.S. It's up nearly 20% from last year, in no small part due to hurricanes I'm sure. Gas for my truck just went up $0.25 a gallon -- no telling what it'll be at the dock this weekend. Stupid hurricanes indeed.

But all this is nothing compared to the plight of those poor folks from Louisiana to Florida -- my heart goes out to them. I'm going to call Red Cross and send some $ their way, unless anyone on this board knows of a better way to help.

I knew there was somethin' I's gonna do today...went to give blood Mon nite and too crowded...told 'em I'd be back today...oh well...they'll need it tomorrow...

As "storied" a history as NO has, maybe now's a good time to just let her go...can't make any sense outta rebuildin' a city that's literally below water level...it's kinda like buildin' a big old ship, sayin' it's "unsinkable" and then racin' it thru a bunch of icebergs...sooner or later, what man has made will give...would you build a house for your family behind a dam?... ::)...
