Early airslot design
I was browsing throught the V20 gallery and noticed some of the old Airslot hulls looked alot like the boat I remembered seeing on the old TV show Flipper. I did a quick search to see what I could find. Looks like the boat used on TV was a Thunderbird not an Airslot, but they look so much alike because they were both designed by D!ck Cole. Check it out.

Re: Early airslot design
That's a good story, remember the boat on Flipper, it was a real nice boat. There was a 73 18 ft Airslot w/ no motor for sale in nice shape for 500. 3 streets over from here it lasted 2 days. Now there is a mint 75 24 ft Weekender Airslot that he is repowering I drool everytime I pass by......

Re: Early airslot design
I used to have a 17' T-Bird (BR had one too) that had the same hull...that boat rode great and was very dry...
There used to be a "Flipper" boat like that at Lake Hartwell...might be for sale if it's still around ::) ... |
