Hey Phatdaddy
In another post, you mention building crab traps out of milk crates.
First, does the milk company know you did this (just kidding) :o Second, can you post some pictures of how you did that? Thanks ;) |
Re: Hey Phatdaddy
Milk crates, the building blocks of the universe. *These are stone crap traps. *You can buy real traps *for about $10. but I was trying to get by till i go back to the keys to buy some more.
Pour 1" of sak crete in the bottom http://i40.photobucket.com/albums/e2.../crabtrap1.jpg build a slatted top out of pt. *the entry is a 4" pvc coupler cut in half http://i40.photobucket.com/albums/e2.../crabtrap4.jpg I use zip ties to hold the lids on, that way I know if somebody has been into it http://i40.photobucket.com/albums/e2.../crabtrap3.jpg http://i40.photobucket.com/albums/e2.../crabtrap3.jpg tie a rope on with a bouy Throw in water & wait for dinner to crawl in. I usually bait with fish heads and skins or pigs feet. The bouy has to have a R on it to identify it as a recreational trap, not commercial http://i40.photobucket.com/albums/e2.../crabtrap5.jpg It is not cost effective to do this, but all of my traps were stolen in the early season, I was just making do till next year |

But that speeding sign going to get you caught for sure!! |
Re: Hey Phatdaddy
In NC it is a misdemeanor to possess milk crates that bear the dairy's name. *
I suggest sanding off the name. |
Re: Hey Phatdaddy
MJ, just so you know it is not hearsay when you get it directly from the offender, it's called a confession 8)
And no need to steal them things anymore, you can buy them for a few bucks apiece in any of the wallymarts or depo type stores |
Re: Hey Phatdaddy
I just found them here I have no idea were they came from?? ::)
Buy them :o They are two thin when you buy them and why buy when there are so many for free, just abanded on the st.? |
Re: Hey Phatdaddy
I think it is fine here also. I have a friend who works a a retail store and when they get broken ones, his milk guy saves them for us. that's my story & I'm stickin with it.
My wife works at an elementary school and you would not believe how many are in the teachers rooms. now wonder milk is $3.50 a gallon. |
