1983 V20 Steplift
Need help on the correct size of propeller for my V20 Steplift 1983 , Evinrude 1987 140 V4 , Average of 4 people on board with 48 Bud/Corona on board , Two of the passenges will not disclose age and weight for "Security Reasons" The two guys are young 40 something 220 lbs each, Looking for speed vrs bow lift etc ..Please let me know the correct pitch ...

Small or large gearcase? If small gearcase I would go with a 13.5"X15 stainless, most likely a MICHIGAN RAPTURE or APOLLO for cost reasons.

it's a large case ferm due to it's an 83 boat which has 25" transom

I wasn't sure, I have an 86 140 lower unit here that is a 25" with a small hub on it.

Guys thanks very much, I do know its a 25 inch I am not sure how will I know if its a large or small gare case ? Can i tell by looking at it ?

Large gear case has roughly a 4.5" exhaust opening, a small one has a 4" opening.

post a photo of the motor the experts will tell you everthing you need to know

better yet count the splines on the prop shaft if 13 small foot if 15 spline then it's large foot.
