Question for the computer literate
I took a video of my Merc running yesterday but when I try to upload it to PB it says it has to be another type of file, mpeg is one of the many listed.
How do I convert the files on dvd to an acceptable format. I did a search but I am not computer literate enough to figure out what they are talking about. Thanks. |
Re: Question for the computer literate
Doesn't PhotoBucket take video?...if so, that oughtta format 'em for ya ...

Re: Question for the computer literate
When I try, it just gives an error message.
The file "VIDEO_TS.VOB" does not have a valid video extension. Valid video extensions are: 3g2, 3gp, 3gp2, 3gpp, 3p, asf, avi, divx, divx, dv, dvx, flv, gif, moov, mov, mp4, mpeg4, mpg4, mpe, mpeg, mpg, qt, swf, wmv, xvid, rm. I guess I need an extension. :'( |
Re: Question for the computer literate
.vob is your extension.
Do a google search for a free video conversion program, there are many out there. In google, type in free conversion vob to mpeg |
Re: Question for the computer literate
Well, I tried. Ended up with about a second of video on PB.
I have wasted 4 hours trying, I give up. |
Re: Question for the computer literate
OK, so I am still trying.

Re: Question for the computer literate
I think I got it.

Re: Question for the computer literate
Sometimes simply renaming the file with a different extension will work. So, you might try removing the .vob and replacing it with .avi to see if it works.

Re: Question for the computer literate
Well, you must have figured it out b/c I watched your video - what was the solution (for future reference)?
