Hey Hammer! Boat with teeth Pics.
Saw this one the other day....
http://www.monkeybutler.com/boat/2007_0801/05.jpg http://www.monkeybutler.com/boat/2007_0801/06.jpg Apparently it carrys up to 135 passengers who pay to go for a high speed ride while music blasts over loudspeakers. Don't know if they supply the gold chains. For something more sedate you can pay to go for a dinner cruise with up to 600 of your closest friends... http://www.monkeybutler.com/boat/2007_0801/03.jpg http://www.monkeybutler.com/boat/2007_0801/02.jpg It looks like a yacht but it's really more of a dressed up barge. Now if they painted some teeth on it....! On the way back I thought we had taken a wrong turn somewhere and wound up in the Panama Canal or sumthin'.... http://www.monkeybutler.com/boat/2007_0801/08.jpg http://www.monkeybutler.com/boat/2007_0801/09.jpg ...and Hammer, the Monkey luvs you too! |
Re: Hey Hammer! Boat with teeth Pics.
That's weird wild stuff there, Monkey!
Good post! But you need to practice using your zoom a little (boat in front of the paddlers). |
Re: Hey Hammer! Boat with teeth Pics.

Re: Hey Hammer! Boat with teeth Pics.
Pipe,
That is as zoomy as my camera gets. It has been really peeing me off lately by doing stuff like this... http://www.monkeybutler.com/boat/2007_0801/16.jpg and this... http://www.monkeybutler.com/boat/2007_0801/14.jpg Besides the crappy washed out image, note the babe just off camera to the left. She was clearly in the viewfinder when I took the shot. Stoopid camera. It is scheduled for replacement as soon as I can stop spending money replacing all of the parts that keep falling off of my trailer. boatnluvr, In the words of former Mayor Kevin White, "that is in fact the Hahbahhh of the Great Schitty of Bah-stun". Hey, did I read sumweah heah that ya work in town? Ya take the T or ya cah tawork? Wheah ya pahk? Parishht, NOW THAT"S WHAT I"M TALKIN ABOUT! Wickid Pissa! </Boston Accent> I think the Odyssey probably has bigger gensets than engines. I don't think it can make more than a few knots but with the teeth it looks like it's flyin' even when it's standing still! |

Re: Hey Hammer! Boat with teeth Pics.
Monkey, is your digital a Kodak Easy share?
Mine does the same thing, with the lense cover not opening. On the other hand, mine takes nice wide pictures, bigger than the view finder. |
Re: Hey Hammer! Boat with teeth Pics.
Parishhit,
My camera is Canon A60 2MP. I really don't wan't a digital SLR ( I bot one for my daugter last Xmas and she takes some great shots with it) but I'd like a point n' shoot that handles some typical on the water shots better. The A60 seemed to do it okay before. I could usually figure out what was going to be a problem shot and trick it by focusing off center or changing fron regular to portrait to landscape settings and just shooting a group of shots and wind up with at least one good one. But now most shots are out of focus, over or under exposed, or just FUBAR. It's never been the same since I let my boys use it to document their Airsoft games. My daugter explained to me what's going wrong and tried to compensait with the settings but it seems the camera is going bad. For around $250 to $350 it looks like you can get a Pentac or Olypus 6+MP camera that is even waterproof! Like you can even take it under water on Porpoise! http://www.dpreview.com/news/0501/05...ax_optiowp.asp I've got more research to do but I like the idea of a digital camera that swims! Hey, Skools... where is my pichur of the 250 anchor locker winch??? |
