My weekend
Now that I got my pictures uploaded, I can reveal my weekend(some people around here get cranky without pictures). I took and went to ORMOND BEACH this last weekend for the 50th anniversery of the BIRTHPLACE OF SPEED in ORMOND BEACH FL with my grandparents. He's been going for a few years now, and he has several model T's. This years theme car was the model T as well. We went over Friday for the parade at 7P.M., and then the car show was down on the intercoastal waterway Saturday at 10A.M. My grandfather ended up getting 1st place in his class with his 1911 model T TOURABOUT. All in all a nice weekend.
Here's my grandparents with his ribbon http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t...1-04-07038.jpg Here's the ride we brought along http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t...04-07033-2.jpg This was the oldest car there, a 1906 CADILAC http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t...1-04-07023.jpg This was the most unique car there, a 1914 BUICK all custom built for the current owners grandfather. It was a proto type that never went into production due to costs. http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t...1-04-07026.jpg This was the theme car at this years event, this model T had been to all 50 shows http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t...1-04-07018.jpg Here's a special treat for HAMMER, a genuine restored paddy wagon http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t...1-04-07017.jpg A genuine 64 COBRA http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t...1-04-07012.jpg 64 VETTE http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t...1-04-07019.jpg 62 IMPALA http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t...1-04-07016.jpg A couple of ROLLS ROYCE's http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t...1-04-07025.jpg http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t...1-04-07022.jpg an old STUDEBAKER http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t...1-04-07024.jpg PACKARD http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t...1-04-07015.jpg early CHRYSLER 300 http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t...1-04-07014.jpg and some various shot's from the show http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t...1-04-07011.jpg http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t...1-04-07027.jpg http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t...1-04-07028.jpg http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t...1-04-07034.jpg http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t...1-04-07035.jpg http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t...1-04-07036.jpg |

I have a budy that loves old Plymouth Valiants, I helped him do a frame up restore of a 1965 Valiant Convertable, its a nice car! He now lives in Mississippi and has the car there. He does a car show called Curzing the Coast every year and gets press pass cause he works for a TV Station down there. By the way he is also are new Webmaster!! I own and run the board, but he will be doing all the backing up and transfers to the new set up! ;) |
