O/B CONVERSION,WEIGHT DISTRIBUTION

I AM IN THE MIDDLE OF A CONVERION FROM 470 I/O TO AN OUTBOARD WITH A BRACKET. THE SIXTY GALLON FUEL TANK IS BETWEEN THE PEDESTAL SEATS. WILL I NEED TO MOVE WEIGHT BACK SO I DONT ROLL THIS BOAT IN A FOLLOWING SEA ? WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK? I PLAN ON POWERING WITH A 150 CARB YAMAHA.

To be totally honest, NO, since you are not going big HP you wont have any problems. You will find that with your setup the pro's will far outweigh the con's. With a following sea you will see a big difference in pitch attitude(for the better.) Essentially a longer boat. Remember that the farther you can get the propulsion set back from the trailing edge the better.

Just ask Macojoe. He doesnt have the fuel in the belly but he has fuel in there somewhere. He absolutely swears by his conversion.

My $.02

Re:  O/B CONVERSION,WEIGHT DISTRIBUTION

My boat has two 20gal saddle bag tanks under the gunnles and I added a 25 gal in the floor were the I/O was. Total 65 gal
There are no problems!!
