Re: Diesel Anyone?
School district near here is powering their buses and other diesles w/cooking oil...gotta start 'em w/diesle, then switch to oil tank...reporting cleaner burn and smell of French Fries everywhere they go...sounds better to me, except it'd make me hungry all the time... ::)...

Re: Diesel Anyone?
No, I mean the french fry part ;D ;D ;D
I knew about the cooking oil thang already. I would think if they were using used cooking oil it would need to be strained really well. Those tater chunks can be he11 on yer motor! |
Re: Diesel Anyone?
Yeah, it's definately ''proccessed, which is probably filtered couple of times...who knows what else...saved $100,000 in 1st yr so it's the real deal... 8)...

Re: Diesel Anyone?
I have an old Ford diesel truck (have a new one too ;D) I go to a forum for guys that own these old 6.9L trucks and a few of them has done this, the cooking oil has to be really well filtered and some of them heat it prior to it entering the engine...you just have to be sure you start and stop with diesel fuel.

Re: Diesel Anyone?
Reel - I love hearing that . . . Could you imagine . . . collecting fry oil the week before from McDonalds and KFC . . . so that you drive the bus to school. . . or take your boat fishing.
